ZeeArts Community in collaboration with Steigenberger Hotel Business Bay Dubai, teamed up to bring the International Art Critic and Educationist, Mr Quddus Mirza from Pakistan, for the very first Art Critic Symposium on Saturday 22nd October from 15h00 to 17h00 at the hotel. The aim of this Art Critic Symposium was to provide an understanding on the global art forum and the practices of art making with its formal and conceptual aspects; along with creating, infusing and enhancing the act of art making. The event was divided into two segments; the first part comprised of a lecture on the global contemporary art scene and the second part consisted of an interactive session discussing about the participant’s Art work with reference to the process of art. There was also an elaborate discussion as to how an artist should express their art in words.

We brought 20 local artists of different nationalities from UAE together, to attend this event with a sole motive that participants should be benefitted with an art specialist’s feedback on their artwork. It is significant to empower emerging artists, as Dubai is positioned as one of the most strategic iconic Art Hub

This symposium aimed at helping artists to set up direction and to educate them as to how to talk and write about their artwork; this is a paramount steps to boost up their self-esteem when introducing their work, which resonate with the philosophy of ZeeArts Community.‟ said Zaahirah Muthy the founder of ZeeArts Community. I would like to thank Steigenberger Hotel Business Bay for this significant collaboration and all the participating artists.
