The selected artists originate from Kenya, Tunisia, Egypt, Mauritius, Cabo-Verde, France, Belgium, Ireland, Serbia, Germany, Bulgaria, Poland, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Jordan, Iran, Syria, Palestine and New Zeeland.

International Women Day is celebrated worldwide on March 8th since 1911; it is a time to reflect on the transitions made, to call for future positive change, and to celebrate acts of courage and determination by ordinary women who have played an extraordinary role and thus created the history.

ZeeArts Community celebrate the women’s day with aplomb as the founder- artist activist Zaahirah Muthy is a feminist and has been in the forefront of the empowerment of women since past 15 years during her residing days in her  native land Mauritius and since last  six years in Dubai. She has been involved in the various projects including the education and empowerment of Women drug addicts, women ailing with HIV and AIDS, commercial sex workers, divorcee, single parent, victims of domestic violence and unemployed women. Her experienced whilst dealing with the down trodden of the society has further strengthened her belief that, we women are very important fabric of society and has the power to be BOLD TO BRING CHANGES;

‘We, all have the absolute power and opportunities to Be Bold and to bring changes in our life, our family and our society as a daughter, as a sister, as a wife, as a mother or as a leader’ said Zaahirah. She realized that how a woman has an ability to reach out, express, emote and move people and how she can use creative portrayals in actually helping raise community awareness.

Mr. Georges Farhat, the General Manager of Crowne Plaza, has expressed his good will to support this initiative and the upcoming project of ZeeArts Community. He quoted: ‘Crowne Plaza is very happy to collaborate with ZeeArts Community for this celebration of Women’s Day and we strongly believe that women play an important role in our society.

The chief guest, Mrs Carol Talbot the NLP expert and an international speaker has beautifully speak about her successful stories how she has been bold and bring changes in her life as a leader. She has indeed inspired the audience.

The opening was magical, with the presence of extraordinary women coming from different part of the world. The 20 participating artists, have proudly don their respective sashes… like the Miss representing their country.  The pride that each artist felt donning those sashes carrying their country name is unexplainable.  When women join hand, sky is the limit’, said Manish from India one of the artist activist.

We would like to pay tribute to all the women artists participating in the Be Bold for Change and showing their passion and activism through arts; also special thanks to Crowne Plaza and the Café for their tremendous support for this event.

We would like to invite Dubai Community to visit the show which will be on from 8th March till 30th April at The Café Restaurant, Crowne Plaza Hotel Sheikh Zayed Road which is in line with the Art Season in Dubai.
